Seeds Beneath The Snow

My soul finds peace Lord in Your holy way

But my tired body longs for rest each day.

It reminds me I’m just dust here for a time

Yet Your promise of forever calms my mind.

Change, a constant tide, I fight its flow,

Yet Your purpose unfolds, seeds You help to grow. Smallest shifts can spark such fear within,A stubborn heart that clings to what has been. Frustration whispers, doubt begins to creep,My flesh is weary, yearning for deep sleep. My spirit trusts, though flesh may disagree,Change unfolds Your plan, a mystery,Why do I resist what You orchestrate?Open my eyes, Lord, to Your will, show me my fate,Blind to the beauty born from something new,Help me surrender, Lord, and trust in You. my soul’s anchor, hold me to Your word,In constant change, Your love is ever heard. With every toxin, every wasted thing,I’ve disrespected the life Your hands did bring. My body a temple, I’ve poisoned its walls,Forgive my choices, forgive my selfish calls. A array of excuses, a web I’ve weaved,

To justify the damage, the ugly life I perceived, I’ve marred Your masterpiece, a sculptor gone wrong,Leaving scars that whisper of a sorrowful song.Yet You, the divine artist, see a chance to mend,

Your love a brushstroke, grace that will transcend. With eyes of judgment, I would see my sin,A trespass unforgivable, a wound deep within. If I, a fleeting soul, could hold such rage,What wrath would fill You, on this ravaged stage? Were this world mine, crafted by my hand,Such reckless harm I could not understand. But You are love incarnate, mercy divine,Your forgiveness a beacon, forever to shine.Without Your light, we wander in endless night,But You are the dawn, chasing back the dark’s might.
